Things to do in Maui - Atlantis Submarine

Here's a video from our trip to Maui this summer, we went on the Atlantis Submarine and it was truly an awesome trip and I'd recommend it to anyone.

One key point was once you pay full price for a trip you become an Atlantis Submarine preferred rider and the future trips for that year are ~$25, we didn't take advantage of this but if you had planned to be in Maui for a week you could schedule the first day and then get a very good deal on additional trips the rest of the week.

Going Down? Ride from the Top!

We were at the top of crystal mountain at 6800 feet above sea level and this is the ride down from the top, sorry about the wind noise you may need to turn your speaker down. 7 minute ride down and it was steep!

About a minute into the video I pan over to my son and his hair is blown backwards, it was pretty windy coming down.

This is the boat we took on the trip.

This was a very big iceberg, the color was amazing.

This is one of several the cruise ships we saw, cruising the inside passage is very popular. At Juneau their were 4 different cruise ships in port every day.

This is one of about 500 seals we saw on the ice, the have their pups here in the summer. Also the Orcas (killer whales) won't go into the ice flow so the seals are very safe from their main predator.

We just got back from our trip to Juneau and it was fantastic. We will be adding a section on Alaska vacations to our website in the coming weeks but want to post a few pictures from our trip to see the glaciers.

As we where on the boat we started seeing Icebergs just floating by, it was a little strange.

This was the actual Glacier located in the Tracy Arm Fjord about 40 miles south of Juneau:

Our Vacation Trip to the Seattle Aquarium

Since we live 30 minutes south of Seattle, Washington we have decided to do a special section to be added to our site on Seattle Vacations. Throughout the summer months we will take day trips to the exciting kid friendly areas of Seattle. We will take pictures and add the details to our site and record the adventures on our blog.

Best Kids Vacations

Do you have a best kids vacation? As I think about it, our best kid vacations involved visiting a zoo, an aquarium, a pool, water park or a beach.

A zoo or aquarium allows the family to walk together or split up if you have younger and older children, enjoy the animals and take pictures. Suprisingly, these pictures are the ones our children always ask to look at over and over again.

The beach is a great place to enjoy nature and relax. Most of us don't realize kids need to unwind just like adults do and the beach is a perfect place to burn off stress, splash in the water and have a great time.

The beach, zoo and aquarium all make for best kids vacations places.

We're heading to the Seattle Aquarium this weekend I'll post some pictures, it should be a great time.
